How we look after the data you share with us.
Last updated: September 2026
When you request an estimate or write to us through this site, you share information about yourself and your project. This page explains, plainly, what we do with it.
Who is responsible
The data controller is EJ Arquitectura, an architecture studio led by architect Esteban Jácome, with offices at Plaza Vizcaya, Ciudad Celeste, Samborondón, Ecuador.
You can reach us by email at ej.arquitectura@hotmail.com or by phone and WhatsApp at +593 98 644 0743.
What we collect
- Through the estimate form: your name, email and phone, plus details of your project: type of build, whether you own the land, bedrooms and bathrooms, built and land area, location, investment range, and whether you need design only or design and construction.
- Through the contact form: your name, email and phone, the type and location of the project, and your message.
- If you write to us on WhatsApp or by email: whatever you choose to share in that conversation.
We do not ask for sensitive data and you do not need to send it.
What we use it for
- To answer your request and contact you about your project by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- To prepare a proposal or an estimate based on what you told us.
- To follow up while you decide whether to work with us.
We do not sell your data, we do not pass it on for third-party advertising, and we will not send you promotions without your permission.
Why we can process it
Because you send it to us to request information or an estimate: we process it with your consent and to handle a request you made before a possible contract. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us.
Who we share it with
The site relies on technology providers that process data on our behalf and only to deliver their service:
- Supabase, where estimate requests are stored.
- Web3Forms, which delivers each request to us by email.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and measures visits anonymously.
- Bunny Stream, which plays the video walkthrough. It only receives data if you press play.
- Google Maps, which displays the map on the contact page.
- WhatsApp, owned by Meta, if you choose to message us there.
Some of these providers have servers outside Ecuador, so your data may be stored in other countries. We will only hand your data to an authority when a law requires us to.
How long we keep it
For as long as the conversation about your project lasts. If we do not end up working together, we delete it within two years of our last contact at most. If you become a client, we keep it for the duration of the relationship and for as long as our legal and tax obligations require.
How we protect it
The site runs over an encrypted connection, and access to stored requests is restricted to the studio team. The website can only submit new requests: nobody can read or change them through it.
Your rights
Under Ecuador's Organic Law on Personal Data Protection, you can ask to:
- Access the data we hold about you and learn how we use it.
- Rectify it, by correcting or updating it.
- Erase it.
- Object to its use for a specific purpose.
- Suspend its processing.
- Port it, receiving it in a format you can take elsewhere.
To exercise any of these rights, email ej.arquitectura@hotmail.com with your name and what you need. If you believe we did not handle your request properly, you can file a complaint with Ecuador's Superintendency of Personal Data Protection.
Cookies and visit measurement
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify individuals. The map on the contact page is served by Google, which may apply its own cookies under its own policy.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
